Testimonials
“Christina’s yard is not only pretty, but very friendly and professionally run. She looked after my young horse and brought him on beautifully last winter. Christina is a lovely person and I have no hesitation to recommend her to be of benefit to both horse and rider!”

“Christina is a very hard worker and while at Talland schooled our young horses, and competed her own horse at medium level, she teaches with real qualities, has an excellent eye and shows real feel.”

“I have worked with Christina and a variety of her horses during the last few years.
She is a talented rider who rides with feel and knowledge to gain improvement from each individual horse she works with. She works with attention to detail both on and off the horse - making sure that each animal is treated as an individual.”
“I enjoy my association with Christina and hope to continue to help her in the future. I am more than happy to recommend her as a Rider and Trainer.”

Sisko was a 5 year old Appaloosa gelding which I bought as a 4 year old last year. He is a very laid back character, but likes to think he is the boss sometimes and is lazy. His favourite pastime is eating and generally clowning around, which is fine if things are done on his terms, but when it comes to doing a bit of work the lazy streak rears its head. I worked with him at the DIY year he is stabled at to bring his training on, his previous owner had left him to do his own thing so you can understand why he questioned doing any work. I quickly realised the lack of facilities at his current yard and the fact I worked more or less full time was going to impact on my ability to bring him on without outside help. As I had worked at Christina's yard the previous winter I saw at first hand how caring she was with the horse in her charge.
I sent Sisko for two months training with Christina, under her excellent training programme Sisko improved. Christina worked on a few issues that I wanted improving and made a difference in his way of going and attitude. He is still only young and the work will continue but I have seen a big difference in him, which I put down to the excellence that is at the heart of how Christina trains and develops horses. I would recommend Christina to anyone wanting to bring on their horse.

Christina’s dedication and commitment has been invaluable to me and her training and support has been instrumental to my success in developing my partnership with my often cheeky Competition Horse by Gribaldi.
She has an excellent eye and is able to quickly adapt exercises during training to positively address and overcome any issues that may arise, enabling horse and rider to finish the session on a consistently positive note.
She has a supportive yet no nonsense approach to training both the horse and rider and has a unique ability to simplify and explain classic riding principles.
She is not only a very talented instructor she is also a first class competitor. I have no hesitation in recommending Christina as a teacher and trainer to riders over a range of levels and disciplines. While also highly recommending her to owners as a gifted horsewoman who’s holistic approach results in not only a Happy Athlete but a successful partnership.

I am delighted with the work Christina has done breaking in my Dales mare, Sunglow Black Princess. She has been beautifully trained and is forward thinking, light and responsive. This is the second of my horses I have had produced by Christina and I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting their youngster to get the best start in life. Christina has an excellent instinct for young horses irrespective of their breed, knowing when to ask for more and when to be tactful which makes her successful trainer.
‘Keeping Stern On The Road’
Stern is my 19 yr old Haflinger gelding who sadly has developed chronic sacro iliac disease and severe sarcoids, a rather unfortunate combination. Since the sacro iliac diagnosis he has been semi-retired to light hacking duties which seems to keep him interested in life. Anyone who knows Haflingers will understand how vital this is! Anxious to keep him fit and active without recourse to excessive use of bute, I asked Herta for her assistance. For the last 2 years she has been treating Stern with energetic osteopathy techniques every three months together with supporting homeopathic treatment. This has proved to be very successful as he is able to work happily without bute in between treatments . His general health and well being has been excellent and although he is rather lumpy the sarcoids do not trouble him. Without Herta’s help I doubt Stern would be so happy and neither would we!
