PONIES

Earlier this year we had two lovely unbroken ponies arriving from Ireland. Both of them are owned and bred by Mr Kieran Guinness from the well known Dunlewey Stud. Their father is Persiflage, who is by the well known stallion Primitive Rising. Persiflage is competing in this country in Eventing.

The girls ( Hannah and Becky) did a fantastic job getting the slightly “wild” ponies accustomed to being handled and used to being led, groomed and fussed about.

After gaining their trust, it seemed easy enough to put saddle and bridle on and to lead and later lunge them. Thanks to the girls and their quiet and patient way of working with them, the actual backing was easy.

The lovely grey mare, called Polly Anna has since found a great home with Jess and Caroline Bennett. Jess has represented GB in dressage successfully from Ponies to Juniors, winning gold and individual Bronze for the Pony team in 2002. She has an incredible competition record to this date and also successfully events at BE90 and BE100 level.

She currently trains with Carl Hester. We feel lucky, that our Polly Anna has found such a good home and we will be very keen to hear more from them and their work!

This gorgeous little brown gelding is called Percy, he was one of my latest projects has found a lovely home with a delightful family!
