Que veux tu attended her very first Horse Trials on Sunday. She did the 95cm class and finished 7th. I was very pleased with her.
I am waiting for Barbury CIC** ! Foxy and I are high up on the wait list.. fingers crossed....
Arcos has arrived. He is a 5yr KWPN, owned by Justin Clubley. He is here to be schooled whilst Ellie is at Justin’s!

Zita has found a new home!
It was very sad to see Zita leave the Farm, but she has found a lovely new owner and we will be looking out for her in the dressage and showing world!
Foxy went to Salperton Park, where he finished 14. Salperton Park is simply a stunning venue.
Setting off in the lorry on time, we had to negotiate several incidents including road closure, lorry door fixing on route, traffic jam and at the end we missed the last turn off!
Luckily, we were given a later slot for our dressage!
The heat was quite immense and Foxy wasn’t too impressed by the horrid horse flies.. luckily he flew himself round the cross country, and no fly was fast enough to catch him then!
I was extremely upset to find that Imp was struggling to work and perform over the last few weeks in the way that he had done. The use of the magnetic rug and mum’s remedies clearly helped but it was obvious and terribly sad to witness, that he gave all he could but the power was not the same anymore.. It was not right to push him any further.
I am lucky and grateful to have had the chance to know, ride and look after him. I will remember Lucinda Green’s advice who watched us go round Aston-Le-Walls OI: “ Make sure you remember and treasure that feel of your cross country round on Imp, it was fabulous to watch!” Imp was like a totally loyal, fearless soldier with a huge heart and I miss him on the yard!
Visit took part in his first show at Wanborough Show and promptly won his class!!
He was so well behaved and I was very proud of him.
Zita won another Novice class at West Wilts! She is now qualified for the Novice Regionals! Fantastic result in so few outings, what a thrill!
Que veux tu took part in her first Uk competition. .. A combined training at West Wilts, where she finished 3rd!

Sadly, Hannah left us to find work near her partner, who is also involved in horses. Hannah has been a tremendous help in the last couple of years and is missed at Lower Ham Farm by all who know her including the horses, Tin Tin and Phoebe (cat)! We all wish her the very best and hope to keep in touch.
Ida has taken Hannah’s position. Ida is from Sweden and is experienced and very competent working around horses and riding them. She is an extremely reliable and hardworking girl and has been fantastic in stepping into Hannah’s shoes! I’m very lucky and grateful for Swedecare, the company who introduced me to her.
Zita
Zita had two dressage outings recently, which went very well. She won two Novice classes at LVFRC, gaining 67.14% in one test and 70% in the next! Needless to say, we were thrilled to bits with her and with the fact, that she is now almost qualified for the regional finals!
On the 7 May we took Zita to West Wilts where she came second in both classes gaining another 5 points!
Zita showed an incredible attitude when I took her for her first cross country schooling! Although she is a careful horse, she was extremely positive and brave. She took everything on board without worry and truly gave me a great feel! All the basic schooling at home paid off, she finds flying changes so easy and adjusts herself beautifully in front of any of the cross country fences, keeping her balance and power! I look forward to going again... and again :)
Chance
Chance has been working beautifully. He has developed more muscle over his back and neck, which I feel allows him to work in better self-carriage and balance.
He too, had an outing at LVFRC. After not having been out for a while, he was a little excited but still, finished third in the Novice class gaining 62.5%.
Boris
Boris showed some discomfort in the mouth and after a good check by Antony Tory (dentist) we realised, that two blind wolf teeth, that had not been detected by a previous vet check were causing him discomfort! After a little surgery, he is now much happier and showing some very promising work!
Cruise
Had two more Novice Event outings. He went very well at Sapey. I took my time across country, to give him confidence and he jumped a beautiful clear round, it was an absolute joy!
He also went clear around a stunning course at Hambleden, where there was more crowd and plenty to look at. Although, he didn’t feel quite up to his usual self in the SJ. So again I opted for a steady, clear round xc to gain experience. Later, I wanted mum to check him and sure enough, she found an obvious sore spot which was taken care off right away.
With some more rest and treatment I hope Cruise to be in action again for his next event!
Foxy
Foxy had a clear round across a tricky and literally “sticky” ground at the South of England OI event.
I had a lot of help and support from Mum preparing for Aston-le Walls OI, which paid off in Foxy’s performance in all phases! He set off to xc after a very pleasing dressage and a good SJ round. Aston-le Walls, was over a beautiful, flowing course. Fox went round the course in flash giving me a great ride and finished in 7th place in a very competitive section! I was totally happy!
Imp
Imp gave me two brilliant rides both at Withington and at Aston-le Walls!
He is superb across the country! I’m still getting to know him in all the phases, but with every outing I learn more and I feel our partnership is developing and growing and I am really enjoying that!
April 2010
Cruise
Cruise went to Portman, where he competed in his 2nd ever Novice event. He finished 9th and I was thrilled.

Imp
Imp’s first outing had been cancelled due to the rain. A late entry enabled us to run at Portman too.
After having had a quite a long break from the events, he was rather excited! He was quite full of himself and I shall be prepared for our next outing.
March 2010
Cruise
Aldon 19/03/10 - Cruise completed his first run of this season in good form, finishing in 6th place. I was pleased with his dressage test and the marks reflected my feel (32.5). One pole rolled in the SJ arena but Cruise was great across the country. He stayed in a lovely rhythm and felt balanced and nimble... I finished with a big smile on my face!
Foxy
Foxy had his first run at Tweseldown March 12th. I was pleased with the overall performance, as the hard winter had restricted our preparations. I opted for a slow, safe and clear xc round and that’s what we did! So I came back smiling!
Exclusive Imp
Imp won BSJA, Imp was in great form at West Wilts 13th March and won the 1.15m open! He felt great and I was thrilled.
Boris
Boris has moved on from being lunged to riding loose around the school. Although a little wobbly at times (only normal for a youngster) he shows very promising work! He is active, light and gives me feel that there is still plenty of energy to come when he strengthens and develops!
January/February
I was very lucky to meet Ann Marshall, owner of Exclusive Imp and producer of many top event horses over the years.
Exclusive Imp has come to live with me for while! He is a horse with masses of experience, having had 3 and 4* success over the years! I'm enjoying him thoroughly and so far I think he is a big chap with a huge heart and although he is a little cheeky at times he is very responsive and certainly knows his job...
It's a great privilege to have him on the yard!
I have taken Imp and Foxy to Rowland Fernyhough for some training. We had a great time and are heading off to West Wilts Eventers SJ next as a little outing.
Boris had a little break from work but is back on track and so far so good, I'm on board and I even had a little "jog" on him!
